Linear, narrative learning

There is a school of thought that believes educational programmes are best delivered in the linear, narrative format. Usability guru Jakob Nielson wrote in a recent article, "I continue to write books, and I continue to develop training seminars, because I believe these media are best for deep learning of new concepts." (full article here).

Reliance World's Virtual Classroom platform leverages Video Conferencing to deliver that linear, narrative style of learning to a large number of students simultaneously. The idea of a countrywide interactive classroom is no longer an idea, it's reality.

As Bellinda had written in her last post, registrations for XLRI's Virtual Classroom programmes are now open. These programmes combine the effectiveness of face-to-face interactions with the convenience of distance learning.

Virtual Classroom—an enriching face-to-face learning experience

In today's highly competitive corporate environment, an education in management is becoming increasing essential for career advancement.

XLRI, one of India's premier B-Schools, is offering 5 Postgraduate Certificate programs in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Retail Management, Sales and Marketing Management and Industrial & Labour Law.

The courses are designed for working professionals and executives who missed doing their MBA and now want to pursue a management education that would afford them better career prospects.

As one of the major concerns of most working professionals—contemplating the pursuit of a management education—is obtaining study leave, XLRI offers its PG Certificate programmes via Reliance World's Virtual Classroom platform. This enables participants to 'attend' the classes from their respective cities at a Reliance World Virtual Classroom nearest to them.

Virtual Classroom combines the benefit of traditional classroom course delivery—face-to-face interaction—with the convenience of distance learning. For working professionals, this means an opportunity to fulfill their aspiration of obtaining a management education whilst pursuing their current occupation.

All programmes are designed and delivered by XLRI's full-time faculty. The courses enjoy high market value and industrywide recognition. What's more, students successfully completing the course are accorded the coveted XLRI alumni status.
