13th November 2008 was a special day for the students of PSBB Millennium School, Chennai and Millennium School, Bangalore who participated in a live Video Conference with NASA experts from the Kennedy Space Center, USA.The occasion was NASA’s 50th birthday and as part of the celebrations, NASA was organising interactive distance learning sessions with schools across the globe via Video Conferencing.
The students from both schools gathered at a Reliance World in their respective cities and interacted with a NASA engineer and a scientist. The Video Conference included a presentation on NASA's Distance Learning Network, a video clip about NASA @ 50 from Discovery Education Channel and a Q&A session where the students asked the NASA experts questions on various topics.
Last but not the least, the students wished NASA by singing the Happy Birthday song, reciting poems, cutting a cake and presenting a birthday card.
The live Video Conference concluded with a presentation of the NASA Portal & Discovery's NASA @ 50 website resources.
